Supporting the Launching of Three Ministries Collaboration to Protect Women, Children, and Migrant Workers

The Australian Government through the Australia-Indonesia Partnership for Justice Phase 3 (AIPJ3) supported the launching of the collaboration between the Ministry of Law, the Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection (KPPPA), and the Ministry for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (KP2MI) in Jakarta on 23 July 2026. Australian Deputy Head of Mission to Indonesia Gita Kamath was in attendance along with the Ministers.

Through joint trainings and technical assistances, the collaboration aims to enhance the capacity of law enforcement officers, service officers, paralegals, and legal aid providers in preventing and managing cases of women, children, and migrant workers.

In her opening speech, Deputy Head of Mission Gita Kamath confirmed the commitment of Australian Government to advancing gender equality and protecting the rights of women and girls.
